Big Bad | August 2017
TBEY'S VERY FIRST THEATRE PRODUCTION
Director: Keela Coppersmith

Premiered: August 10th 2017

The most notorious criminal in the fairy-tale world, Big Bad Wolf, is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by the countless quirky characters he has wronged. Now, the two greatest legal minds in the Enchanted Forest — the Evil Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother — will clash (on live Court TV, no less, with Sydney Grimm as commentator!) in a trial that will be remembered forever after. As Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother, the Three Little Pigs and the Shepherd in charge of the Boy Who Cried Wolf testify, the wolf seems deserving of all that’s coming. But, even though the disreputable Evil Stepmother couldn’t be less interested in pro-bono work on such an obviously futile defense, Mr. Wolf makes a good case for himself. Was he born a criminal, or made one? Perhaps he does deserve compassion instead of condemnation? What will the verdict be? Only the jury — your audience — can decide, when the doddering old Judge invites them to determine the outcome of the trial... and the play!
StarGazed Benefit Concert | 2018
TBEY hosted the StarGazed Benefit Concert on Friday, August 24th at Turner Hall Ballroom. The Benefit consisted of live entertainment from local artists as well as a national recording artist. Doors opened at 6:30pm and the show ran from 7:00pm to 10:30pm. There was a reception on the balcony for V.I.P ticket holders starting at 7pm. VIP guests had the opportunity to network, enjoy priority seating, catered appetizers, cocktails, meet with some of our artists, and receive autographed t-shirts. VIP guests then joined our other guests to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. To boost our fundraising efforts, we hosted a silent auction in VIP as well.

The purpose of the benefit concert was to raise money for our After-School and Summer Art Education Programs, providing youth members the opportunity to receive quality training at no or little cost to their families. Funds from the benefit concert were used to support program costs such as space rental, artist salaries, supplies, materials, equipment, instruments, and maintenance.
